Last Day at the MTC!

Guys, I'm so excited!!

I'm leaving for Tacoma tomorrow! At 5 am... I'm super excited though! I'm sad to leave these people but I'm sooo exciting to get out into the field!
I'm in the middle of packing all my stuff, so hopefully this email actually makes sense.
This week went by sooo much faster than last week, and it was honestly a bit better too! I felt like there were less tears, less frustrations, and more opportunities to serve!
We got to help the new missionaries that came in this week move into their residence halls. They were all so cute and nervous and excited, and I can't believe that was me just last week haha. It was raining and snowing that day, so as we waited for them to arrive, we sang Christmas songs! We were probably a little annoying, but it was super fun! It was nice to spend time doing service rather than sit in class, so I had a blast! Even though I did catch a cold...
It's amazing how much service really makes me feel better. We got to help set up chairs for the devotional and that made such a difference! We all came out laughing and skipping and smiling, and it really just changed our attitudes!
We had that devotional on Tuesday night with Elder Mark D. Eddy from the general seventies, and his talk was sooo good! He encouraged us all to make our love for the Savior as the reason we're serving. I've been working on that, and I've felt my attitude and actions change even more as I've focused on my Savior!
Another thing that I've loved about the MTC is the classes! Every morning, we have class with our teacher named Brother G. He is amazing! I've loved learning about the gospel from him! He's also kinda really short so all the Elders in our district tease him for that. They've tried to trick him into telling them his height, and honestly, it's impressive how creative they are. It's sooo funny.
But in Brother G's class, we had the opportunity to teach this girl named Emmy. We had 7 minutes to get to know her and 5 minutes to plan a lesson. It actually went amazing! Me and my companions got to teach it, and it was so powerful! The Spirit definitely guided us on that one. She was so touched and inspired, and it was just an amazing experience.
But probably my favorite thing about the MTC - definitely not the food - is the Go & Do experiences we get to have each Sunday. Basically, we get two hours to just study. They give us a topic we can study about and some resources, but we're supposed to be led by the Spirit so we can learn what our Father in Heaven wants us to learn. It was amazing!
I ended up studying about the premortal life and the plan of salvation. I'm not going to share too much of what I learned because it does feel a bit personal. However, I just wanted to ask you all a question and invite you to ponder over it:

During that last hug with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father before you left your heavenly home, what are some things They might've whispered to you? What did you say to Them?

I think about when I said goodbye to all my sweet little cousins who will be so big when I get back. I think about them promising to never forget me. I think about me doubting it since it'll be such a long time but still hoping that they'll remember me.
I know that's how our Savior and our Father feels. They want us to remember, to always retain in remembrance the goodness of our God.
He is good.
He loves us, and He never wants us to forget that. I know this is true. I've felt it more strongly than I ever have before.
I love you all! I'm excited to hear from you!

Love,
Sister Davis <3
